Cleanser

Charcoal cleansing bar

  • My top pick for keeping my skin acne-free while traveling. Pro tip: microwave your charcoal bar for 10 seconds and cut it into smaller chunks for traveling!

Tea Tree oil (melaleuca):

  • Ok so this isn’t a cleanser per-say, but after washing my face (and pre-serum/oils) I use a few dabs of tea tree oil directly on any active acne spots or deep, painful cysts (ugh, hormones). This oil is magic. I always have it on hand in case a zit pops up while i’m traveling.

Serums

Rejuvenating anti-aging serum:

  • I love one pump of this anti-aging serum mixed with a few drops of the No.3 oil (below) before I go to sleep. It is the perfect mix of ultra hydrating (without causing acne!)

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum

  • Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin that we lose as we age - so adding this serum pre-makeup will help plump and moisturize your skin, giving you that dewy glow all day! (I use this post cleanser but pre moisturizer/sunscreen)

Non-Comedogenic Face Oils

Balancing No. 3 Face Oil

  • My absolute favorite way to moisturize my skin is through light, non-pore-clogging facial oils like this one! This oil is my #1 pick if you have acne-prone skin, but still want the anti-aging effects of a face oil.

Tamanu Oil

  • A less expensive (but still amazing) option for a face oil that is super hydrating and healing (it is used to treat eczema and psoriasis!) BUT use with caution if you are acne prone - if that is you I would recommend the No.3 oil (above) instead.

Moisturizers

Rejuvenating Eye Cream

  • LIFE CHANGING eye cream with caffeine, used for under-eye puffiness and crows feet. Just use a tiny dab around your eyes in the morning and evenings to make this last a really long time.

Tint skin - tinted moisturizer

  • My favorite tinted moisturizer that i've ever used (and i'm a Sephora junkie) because it provides natural coverage without clogging pores + leaves you with a dewy glow all day. Use this chart to find your shade.

    • P.S. If you’re looking for a tinted moisturizer + Sunscreen combo, THIS is my fave!

Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen

  • My favorite non-toxic sunscreen for face + body because it 1) protects against dark spots/aging, 2) is coral reef safe 3) smells AMAZING

Supplements

Zinc picolinate:

Zinc picolinate is the number one supplement I would recommend to anyone with acne. According to the lovevitamin.com:

“On average, people with acne have 24% lower zinc levels than people with clear skin. And there is a strong correlation between the severity: the more severe your acne, the more severe your zinc deficiency likely is. So if you have acne, there is a good possibility you need a bit more zinc in your life.”

Essential Fatty Acids:

EFA’s are sooooo vital for the health of the body: skin, hair, joints, cells and more. But after taking these vegan EFA’s, within a week I had people tell me I was “glowing”. I love them, plus they are blended with tummy-taming essential oils for those of us who get a little queasy with normal vitamins.

Bio-Sil:

If you are plant-based, vegan, or just not a fan of collagen peptides, this supplement is a MUST! It helps with collagen production, fine lines and wrinkles, hair growth, and nail growth. Awhile back I was losing a TON of hair (thanks to some hormonal changes) and this supplement totally helped with new growth. My curls are back and thicker than ever!

Vitex

Vitex (Chaste Tree Berry) supplement from Gaia Herbs - a game changer for helping me balance my progesterone levels and decrease melasma on my face.

Tools

GuaSha + Jade Roller

  • My favorite tool for facial massage! Use these tools in upward motions to get your lymphatic system moving (especially in the morning if puffiness is an issue). This tool is amazing also for anti-aging, skin elasticity, collagen production, and even healing acne! (Plus it just feels amazing). Watch the entire tutorial I made HERE!
